Our Pastor

Our Pastor

Pastor Cliff Adair has served our congregation since 2008. He is a graduate of Concordia College, River Forest and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

Prior to coming to St. Paul, Pipestone, he served congregations in Illinois and Iowa. He is a life-long Lutheran and grew up in southern Illinois, where he still has relatives living. He enjoys preaching, teaching, visiting members and people in the community, encouraging the down-hearted, and sharing the hope of Christ.

His favorite hymn is “Jesus, Thy Blood and Righteousness.” In his free time, he enjoys visiting family members, traveling, reading, and biking.

His confirmation verse is “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5, ESV).

Mariah Thiessen was born and raised in suburb of Denver, Colorado. She attended Concordia Nebraska where she majored in psychology and studied to be a Director of Christian Education.

Mariah came to us as an intern in the summer of 2015 and then accepted a call to serve our church.

After getting married to her husband Micah she started her call in July of 2016. She focuses most of her time on our Youth Ministry Program (SPY), but also helps run our children's ministry.

She loves being able to help youth discover and develop their relationship with Jesus. She also enjoys sharing her faith with others so that she can help them to see the joy, hope, mercy, and love we get from Jesus.

In her free time she enjoys visiting family, playing and watching sports, and experiencing new things with her husband.

Her confirmation verse is Colossians 2:6-7, "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." (NIV)

St. Paul Lutheran Preschool Staff

St. Paul Lutheran Preschool Staff

The congregation has operated a Preschool since 1989. We are blessed by dedicated teachers, an exceptional Preschool Board that oversees its operation, and church members who generously support this outreach ministry to children in our community. Many students who attended St. Paul Preschool at its very beginning are now sending their children to our preschool. What a testimony, from its beginning until now, to the excellence of the education and the Christ-centered teaching provided by our teachers at St. Paul Preschool.

Preschool staff consists of Cindy Dezeeuw, Jan Myhra and Linda Winter.
